Anheuser-Busch Canned Water, Aqua Carpatica, Hawaiian Springs (Hawaiian Springs Water), Icy Blue Natural Spring, Lytph Vapor Distilled, Menchies Frozen Yogurt.

Winner: Hawaiian Springs (Hawaiian Springs Water).

What Jonathan decided

Round 3: LYTph beat ICY BLUE; Hawaiian Springs beat Anheuser Busch; Menchie's beat Aqua Carpatica. Round 4 winner = Hawaiian Springs (moves to round 5).

Anheuser-Busch Canned Water

The biggest upset on this list. He picked the beer company's emergency can over Liquid Death because it shockingly tasted better, and both got thumbs up. Then Hawaiian Springs beat it in round four, and the awards episode gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 for most surprisingly good.

About Anheuser-Busch Canned Water

This is not a retail product. Since 1988, Anheuser-Busch has periodically paused beer production at its Cartersville and Fort Collins breweries to can drinking water for disaster relief with the American Red Cross, over 90 million cans so far. The cans are not sold in stores.

Aqua Carpatica

Menchie's beat it in round three, and Hawaiian Springs won the whole round. In the design episode, he never tasted it at all. He just liked that it "feels like a big fancy vodka bottle."

About Aqua Carpatica

Aqua Carpatica is a premium Romanian mineral water from protected springs in the Carpathian Mountains, founded in 2010 by Jean Valvis. It is virtually nitrate-free, very low sodium, naturally alkaline, and has won over 53 international taste awards. PepsiCo bought a 20% stake in 2022.

Hawaiian Springs (Hawaiian Springs Water)

This is the big one. Hawaiian Springs won the whole tournament, beating Starkey and Table Rock in the final at #9000. Along the way it beat Smeraldina, Fjord, and Meijer in #8336 (I said I would stock my fridge with it), beat Anheuser Busch in the round 3 bracket, and edged out Tru Alka for the final three because it tasted "a little bit better, a little cleaner, a little bit more pure." Then in #10000 I named it my favorite water of all time after reviewing thousands of waters. What a run.

About Hawaiian Springs (Hawaiian Springs Water)

Hawaiian Springs comes from the Kea'au aquifer at the base of Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawaii, where rain filters through 13,000 feet of lava rock. They have been bottling since 1995. It is naturally alkaline at about pH 7.7, high in calcium, magnesium, and silica, with a crisp, clean, slightly sweet taste. It is Hawaii's first and only natural artesian water, locally owned and operated by Native Hawaiians, and they even matched my $2,500 donation to Charity: Water for the #10000 milestone.

Icy Blue Natural Spring

Icy Blue won its first two rounds, beating Triumph Alkaline and then winning a five-water round three "by a hair," with PathWater out over something floating in it. It finally fell to LYTph in round three of the #8840 bracket.

About Icy Blue Natural Spring

ICY BLUE is a Canadian natural artesian spring water sourced deep beneath the protected Oak Ridges Moraine in Ontario, filtered through ancient glacial rock. It has a natural pH of 7.5 to 8.5 and low sodium. It won the 2018 Berkley Springs International Water Tasting gold medal, which it bills on its label as "Best Tasting Water in the World." The company says the water filters underground for over 13,000 years.

Lytph Vapor Distilled

LYTph won twice: against BLVD in #8783 (I just prefer still waters) and against a five-water field in #8820. It made it to Round 4 in #8840 before the run ended. Every bottle in those rounds got thumbs up, so this was a friendly bracket.

About Lytph Vapor Distilled

This one is thinly documented online. It is likely sold as "Prince & Spring LYT pH Alkaline Water," a 9.5+ pH alkaline water moved through salon supply channels as a hospitality refreshment product. The "vapor distilled" wording probably comes from its own packaging. Details on the source and bottler are not publicly documented.

Menchies Frozen Yogurt

This one beat Aqua Carpatica in Round 3 of #8840, then Hawaiian Springs won the round and moved on. Yes, the frozen yogurt shop's water won a round. I love this show.

About Menchies Frozen Yogurt

Menchie's is a frozen yogurt franchise, not a water brand. This entry was presumably the tap or filtered water served at a Menchie's shop, or another one of my joke entries. No bottled water is sold under the Menchie's name.
