AlkaKrisp, Berkey (Big Berkey) Water Filter, Goddess Of Water, Lytph Vapor Distilled, True Clear.

Winner: Lytph Vapor Distilled.

What Jonathan decided

winner = LYTph (moves to round 3); True Clear eliminated first (plasticky taste); AlkaKrisp eliminated (cough drop/cough syrup aftertaste); all five got thumbs up

AlkaKrisp

He gave all five waters in that round a thumbs up, but AlkaKrisp got eliminated anyway on the cough syrup finish. LYTph won the round and moved on.

About AlkaKrisp

AlkaKrisp is a natural alkaline water (pH 9 to 10) made by Nova Tech Enterprises in Las Vegas, using an 8-stage filtration process with added magnesium, calcium, and potassium. It expanded to over 300 California convenience stores in 2019.

Berkey (Big Berkey) Water Filter

The Big Berkey was the "clear winner" against rain (swampy), river (rubbery, mild gasoline taste), and tap (chlorine, "mild swimming pool"). Then LYTph beat it in the next round, and the awards episode named it best water filter anyway. A filter with a trophy.

About Berkey (Big Berkey) Water Filter

Berkey is not bottled water at all. It is a gravity-fed home water filter made by New Millennium Concepts of Arlington, Texas, with the Big Berkey (2.25 gallons) as the best-selling model for 2 to 4 people. It uses proprietary Black Berkey filter elements and is popular with preparedness and natural-health communities.

Goddess Of Water

The Goddess of Water moved on to the next round in #8610, and the goddess title was not just for show, it really won. It was later eliminated in a five-water round won by LYTph, where every water got a thumbs up anyway.

About Goddess Of Water

From my own review footage: this is spring water from Spain, sold in a pouch, with a pH of 7.5, and the company sent it to me for free. I also noted it supports wells charity. No reliable independent brand information could be found, so what I said in the video is what we have.

Lytph Vapor Distilled

LYTph won twice: against BLVD in #8783 (I just prefer still waters) and against a five-water field in #8820. It made it to Round 4 in #8840 before the run ended. Every bottle in those rounds got thumbs up, so this was a friendly bracket.

About Lytph Vapor Distilled

This one is thinly documented online. It is likely sold as "Prince & Spring LYT pH Alkaline Water," a 9.5+ pH alkaline water moved through salon supply channels as a hospitality refreshment product. The "vapor distilled" wording probably comes from its own packaging. Details on the source and bottler are not publicly documented.

True Clear

True Clear went out first for a plasticky taste, though all five waters got thumbs up that day. Tough crowd.

About True Clear

True Clear is an office-supply-channel water brand, sold through Quill, Staples Advantage, and McKesson, made by Essendant. Purified water with calcium chloride and sodium bicarbonate, sold in 24-packs for breakrooms and job sites. A water for the water cooler, literally.
