Winner: Icy Blue Natural Spring.

What Jonathan decided

winner = Icy Blue ("winning by a hair... moving on to Round three"); PathWater eliminated (found something floating in it); Real Canadian eliminated (plasticky); Aqua Elle eliminated (cough drop flavor)

Aqua Elle ll

Icy Blue won "by a hair," and Aqua Elle went out with a cough drop flavor. PathWater got eliminated for something floating in it, so at least this one was just a flavor problem.

About Aqua Elle ll

No reliable information turned up for an "Aqua Elle" bottled water brand. The only match is a Philippine water refilling station, and a French company called AQUA'ELLE in Lyon with no connection to bottled water. Another mystery bottle.

Ever & Ever (Still)

The still water beat the caffeinated sparkling because it had less flavor, no carbonation, and no caffeine, which is exactly what Jonathan wants. But in the five-way round, Icy Blue won by a hair and Ever and Ever went home. That round also had drama: PathWater was eliminated for something floating in it.

About Ever & Ever (Still)

Ever and Ever is a premium water brand launched by All Market Inc., the parent company of Vita Coco coconut water, developed with Lonely Whale, the ocean-health nonprofit known for its anti-plastic-straw campaign. It is sold in re-closable aluminum bottles, since aluminum is infinitely recyclable, and the water itself is reverse-osmosis purified with added electrolytes at about pH 7.4.

Icy Blue Natural Spring

Icy Blue won its first two rounds, beating Triumph Alkaline and then winning a five-water round three "by a hair," with PathWater out over something floating in it. It finally fell to LYTph in round three of the #8840 bracket.

About Icy Blue Natural Spring

ICY BLUE is a Canadian natural artesian spring water sourced deep beneath the protected Oak Ridges Moraine in Ontario, filtered through ancient glacial rock. It has a natural pH of 7.5 to 8.5 and low sodium. It won the 2018 Berkley Springs International Water Tasting gold medal, which it bills on its label as "Best Tasting Water in the World." The company says the water filters underground for over 13,000 years.

Pathwater

PathWater won #8552 against Kana Hemp on taste and value (reusable bottle, good math). Then in #8553 it got eliminated because I found something floating in it. From winner to floater in one episode. Icy Blue took that round.

About Pathwater

PathWater was co-founded in 2014 in Fremont, California by Shadi Bakour with brothers Amer and Ali Orabi: the first reusable bottled water, sold in BPA-free aluminum bottles meant to be refilled infinitely. Still is 7-step reverse-osmosis purified water with electrolytes, plus sparkling and alkaline (pH 9.5+) versions. Mission-driven against single-use plastic, backed by celebrity investors including Guy Fieri, and by 2025 it was in about 75,000 retail doors.

Real Canadian Natural Spring Water

Real Canadian beat Selection Spring Water and moved on to the next round. In round 3 it ran into Icy Blue, which won by a hair, and Real Canadian went out tasting plasticky.

About Real Canadian Natural Spring Water

Real Canadian is the Loblaws store-brand still water, the Canadian grocery giant's budget line, bottled in British Columbia for the west and Ontario for the east.
