Winner: Naya Natural Spring.
What Jonathan decided
Winner = Naya Natural Spring Water (3/5 stars) ("this one is the winner because it's better than this but it's still this is honestly not a great water... I would give this a 3 out of 5"). Crystal Springs = loser (1-gallon jug, bad plastic aftertaste: "the taste of the plastic yeah that's no good"). Naya's weird taste attributed to the 100% recycled bottle ("maybe because it's recycled it has that weird taste").
Crystal Springs Natural Spring
Naya won this one with 3 out of 5 stars, which Jonathan admitted was not exactly a glowing review either. Crystal Springs lost on the plastic taste from the gallon jug. He wondered if Naya's own weird taste came from its 100 percent recycled bottle.
About Crystal Springs Natural Spring
Crystal Springs is an iconic American water brand dating back to 1921, started in Clackamas, Oregon. It is now part of Primo Water Corporation of Tampa, Florida, one of that company's many regional brands, offering spring, fluoridated, purified, and distilled water with home and office delivery.
Naya Natural Spring
Naya won its first round against Crystal Springs, though I only gave it 3 out of 5 stars and blamed a weird taste on the 100% recycled bottle. Then in #6131 it got a rare thumbs down from me: a strong plasticky, chemically taste. Nirvana moved on instead. One win, one very firm loss.
About Naya Natural Spring
Naya is a Canadian spring water from Naya Waters Inc., founded 1986, from a spring at Mirabel, Quebec at the foot of the Laurentian Mountains, drawn from an aquifer over 30 meters deep. It is natural, untreated, un-ozonized spring water bottled directly at the source, naturally sodium-free. The name comes from the Naiads of Greek mythology, and the company returned to 100% Quebec ownership in 2021.
