What Jonathan decided
Iceland = winner (round 3); H2 runner-up; Splash/Avitae/Fiuggi eliminated
Avitae Caffeinated Water
Iceland took round three and the Avitae went out with the Splash and the Fiuggi. Caffeine could not save it here.
About Avitae Caffeinated Water
Avitae was founded in 2008 in Cleveland, Ohio, and the name combines "agua" and "vitae," Latin for life: water for life. Its caffeinated water uses natural caffeine from green coffee beans, with zero calories and no sugar, in 45mg, 90mg, and 125mg levels.
Fiuggi Natural Spring Water
Fiuggi was part of the field that Iceland beat in this five-way round. No specific complaint was recorded for it here; it simply did not advance.
About Fiuggi Natural Spring Water
Fiuggi is a natural spring water from the town of Fiuggi in the Monti Ernici mountains, about 60 miles southeast of Rome, Italy, with the brand registered in 1889. It has been known since Roman times, and both Pope Boniface VIII and Michelangelo praised it. It is a very low-mineral oligomineral water, light and easy to drink, and it was the official water of Jubilee 2000.
H2
H2 won its first matchup, tasting a little bit better than Nature's Basket, with both getting thumbs up. Then it came in second in a five-water round won by Iceland, which is nothing to be ashamed of.
About H2
"H2" is too generic to trace to a specific bottled water brand. There are hydrogen-water products with H2-style branding out there, like HTWO HydrogenWater and Korea's Susosu H2, but none could be confidently matched to this bracket entry.
Iceland Spring (Iceland Pure Spring Water) - the "Iceland" in Jonathan's bracket
Iceland Spring had a fantastic run. It beat LIFE WTR head to head, won a five-water round three over H2 and others, then won round four over Pur Aqua Black Cherry. It finally fell to Tourmaline in #4993 as a close second, with Le Bleu eliminated over a floating-particle video. Both got thumbs up against LIFE WTR.
About Iceland Spring (Iceland Pure Spring Water) - the "Iceland" in Jonathan's bracket
This is Iceland Spring, also called Iceland Pure Spring Water, bottled by Iceland Spring ehf. in Reykjavik. The source is the Heidmork nature reserve, the same source as Reykjavik's tap water, from an ancient government-protected lava field spring. It is naturally alkaline with a claimed pH of 8.88, and "nothing added and nothing removed." It is a different company and different spring from Icelandic Glacial, which is a common mixup.
Nestle Splash (Nestle Pure Life Splash / Splash Blast)
Iceland won the round in #4948, H2 was the runner-up, and the Splash got eliminated along with Avitae and Fiuggi. It never really had a chance against Iceland.
About Nestle Splash (Nestle Pure Life Splash / Splash Blast)
Nestle Splash is the fruit-flavored water line from Nestle Waters North America (now BlueTriton/Primo Brands, with newer packaging branded "Splash Blast"). Flavors include Acai Grape, Lemon, Mandarin Orange, and Wild Berry. Zero calories, zero sugar, no artificial colors or flavors, and the newer Splash Blast versions add electrolytes.
