Winner: Ozarka Spring Water
"Jon Drinks Water #5681 Ozarka VS Pur Aqua Essence Lemon VS Hint Cherry VS Market Pantry Fuji Apple S" is a water-comparison tournament video from Jon Drinks Water, episode #5681 of the series.
Featured waters
Hint Cherry, Market Pantry Fuji Apple Sparkling, Ozarka Spring Water, PurAqua Essence Lemon.
Winner: Ozarka Spring Water.
What Jonathan decided
Ozarka (Texas Nestle) = winner ("congratulations, Texas Nestle water. You're moving on to round three"); PurAqua Essence Lemon = 2nd ("not bad at all"); Hint Cherry = 3rd (eliminated, cherry overpowers); Market Pantry Fuji Apple Sparkling = 4th (eliminated)
Hint Cherry
Hint Cherry came in third and got eliminated because the cherry overpowered everything. Ozarka won the round, Pur Aqua Essence Lemon was second, and the Market Pantry sparkling came last.
About Hint Cherry
Hint is the fruit-infused water founded in 2005 in San Francisco by Kara Goldin, an ex-AOL executive who started infusing fruit into water at home to wean herself off diet soda. It is purified water with natural flavors and nothing else, no sugar, no sweeteners, no preservatives, no calories. It grew into a major brand with 30,000+ stores and became a Silicon Valley break-room staple at places like Google and Facebook.
Market Pantry Fuji Apple Sparkling
This one finished fourth in #5681. Ozarka won the round, PurAqua Essence Lemon was second, Hint Cherry was third, and the Fuji Apple got eliminated. Nothing personal.
About Market Pantry Fuji Apple Sparkling
Target's Market Pantry private label again: a budget sparkling water beverage in the Fuji Apple flavor. Same story as the rest of the line, cheap and cheerful, now largely replaced by Good & Gather.
Ozarka Spring Water
Ozarka won #5681 outright ("congratulations, Texas Nestle water, you're moving on to round three"). Then in #5753 it lost to Alkame, though I still called it "a good still water, better than the other Nestle regional brands." A win and a gracious loss.
About Ozarka Spring Water
Ozarka is the Texas member of the six regional spring water brands long owned by Nestle Waters North America. In April 2021 Nestle sold the whole group for $4.3 billion to One Rock Capital Partners and Metropoulos & Co., which renamed it BlueTriton Brands (now part of Primo Brands after the 2024 merger). Each brand is sourced regionally: Ozarka is Texas, Poland Spring is Maine, Zephyrhills is Florida, and so on.
PurAqua Essence Lemon
Ozarka, which he called Texas Nestle water, won this one and moved to round 3. PurAqua Essence Lemon was second and not bad at all.
About PurAqua Essence Lemon
Aldi PurAqua's Essence line of lightly flavored waters.
