What Jonathan decided
Arrowhead wins (carbonated the longest/most); all four unflavored tasted identical; Poland Spring flavored ones eliminated first (least carbonation); Ozarka eliminated (label peeling off); Deer Park eliminated (dislikes the name)
Arrowhead Sparkling
All four unflavored sparkling waters tasted identical, so he picked the one that stayed carbonated the longest. Arrowhead won on fizz endurance. The flavored Poland Springs went out first for the least carbonation.
About Arrowhead Sparkling
This is the sparkling side of the BlueTriton regional spring-water family (Poland Spring, Deer Park, Ozarka, Ice Mountain, Zephyrhills, Arrowhead), sold by Nestle to private equity in 2021 and renamed BlueTriton. The bottles, labels, and water are essentially identical across the six; mainly the source spring differs.
Deer Park Sparkling
All four unflavored sparkling waters tasted identical, so Jonathan gave the win to whichever stayed fizzy the longest, and that was Arrowhead. Ozarka lost a point for a peeling label, and Deer Park went out with Jonathan still not loving the name.
About Deer Park Sparkling
Deer Park Sparkling comes from the same regional spring water family as above, one of the six regional brands long owned by Nestle Waters North America and now part of Primo Brands. The brands share nearly identical bottles and water, differing mainly by source spring.
Ice Mountain Sparkling
Arrowhead won for staying carbonated the longest, and all four unflavored waters tasted identical anyway. Ozarka was out for a peeling label and Deer Park was out because I dislike the name, so Ice Mountain survived longer than both of them.
About Ice Mountain Sparkling
Ice Mountain Sparkling is part of the same BlueTriton regional spring water family as above. The six regional brands (Poland Spring, Deer Park, Ozarka, Ice Mountain, Zephyrhills, Arrowhead) are sourced regionally but are essentially identical across the lineup, differing mainly by source spring.
Ozarka Sparkling
Arrowhead won the sparkling showdown in #5631 because it stayed carbonated the longest. All four unflavored waters tasted identical, so the eliminations were comedy: Poland Spring's flavored ones went first for least carbonation, Deer Park lost because I dislike the name, and Ozarka got eliminated because the label was peeling off. The label. Peeling.
About Ozarka Sparkling
Same Ozarka story: the Texas regional spring water brand, formerly Nestle Waters North America, now BlueTriton/Primo Brands. One of six regional siblings (Poland Spring, Deer Park, Ice Mountain, Zephyrhills, Arrowhead) that are essentially identical except for their source springs.
Poland Spring Lime
Arrowhead won the sparkling showdown in #5631 for staying carbonated the longest. The Poland Spring flavored ones, Lime and Raspberry Lime, got eliminated first for having the least carbonation. Flavor could not save them.
About Poland Spring Lime
Poland Spring Lime is the flavored sparkling version of the Maine spring water brand: one of the six regional Nestle/BlueTriton spring brands (Poland Spring, Deer Park, Ozarka, Ice Mountain, Zephyrhills, Arrowhead), now under Primo Brands. The bottles and water are essentially identical across the six, differing mainly by source spring.
Poland Spring Raspberry Lime
Same sparkling showdown, same result: Arrowhead won #5631 on carbonation, and the Poland Spring flavored pair got cut first for the least fizz. Raspberry Lime went down with Lime.
About Poland Spring Raspberry Lime
Same story: the flavored sparkling version of Poland Spring, one of the six regional BlueTriton/Primo Brands spring waters. Essentially identical to its five siblings except for the Maine source spring and the raspberry lime flavor.
