Acqua Panna, Volvic.

Winner: Volvic.

What Jonathan decided

Volvic wins ("vulvic is going to move on to the next round") by a tiny margin on taste; Acqua Panna eliminated despite the fancier bottle

Acqua Panna

This one stung. Volvic edged it out on taste alone, and Jonathan noted that Acqua Panna had the fancier bottle. Sometimes the bottle is just a bottle.

About Acqua Panna

Acqua Panna is a still natural mineral water from Tuscany, sourced 1,100 meters up in the Apennines north of Florence and named for the Medici family's Villa Panna estate. It was first bottled in 1880, has a smooth velvety taste at pH 8.2, and is owned by Sanpellegrino, a Nestle subsidiary.

Volvic

It beat Acqua Panna by a tiny margin on taste, even though the Acqua Panna had the fancier bottle. Later it finished fifth in a five-way. Such is tournament life.

About Volvic

Volvic is French natural mineral water from the Chaine des Puys in the Auvergne volcanoes, filtered about five years through six layers of volcanic rock. Owned by Danone since 1993, neutral pH 7, low minerals, B Corp certified and carbon neutral since 2020, and US bottles have been 100 percent recycled PET since 2021.
