Here is a secret nobody tells you: you do not have to jump out of an airplane to try something new.

Trying new stuff sounds like it has to be big. Skydiving. Moving across the country. Learning to sword fight. And sure, those count. But so does ordering the weird thing on the menu instead of your usual. So does taking a different road home. So does watching a movie in a genre you normally skip, just to see what happens.

I make videos where I drink water and wrap things in tape, so I am not exactly a thrill seeker. But I have learned that little new things add up. A new food. A new hobby you are bad at. A new song that makes no sense to you on the first listen and somehow becomes your favorite by the fifth.

Being bad at something new is not a failure. It is a reminder that your brain still works. The first time you try anything, you are supposed to be terrible at it. That is the deal. The people who are good at things just kept showing up after the terrible part.

So this week, try one small new thing. It does not have to change your life. It just has to be different from Tuesday.

Who knows. You might like it.
